South African Firm Survey

Thank you for taking part in this short survey. It forms part of a research project led by Professor Haroon Bhorat, Director of the Development Policy Research Unit (DPRU) at the University of Cape Town (UCT). The project focuses on how South African firms make employment decisions and on employers' awareness of government measures that support employment and job creation.

Your responses will be used for research purposes only, and will not be shared with any third parties or government entities. Participation is voluntary, and you may choose not to answer any question or to withdraw from the survey at any time. All responses will be treated confidentially and analysed in anonymised, aggregate form only.

The survey should take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete.

In accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time.

This study has received ethical approval from the University of Cape Town's Faculty of Commerce Research Ethics Committee (REC) (Reference No.: COM/02798/2026).
